UNREAL SURFING AND AN AWESOME DAY WAS THE STANDARD FARE FOR THE 2010 HONOLUA BURLEIGH BOARDRIDERS SINGLE FIN CLASSIC. CLUB CHAMPION 17 YEAR OLD THOMAS WOODS TOOK IT OUT NOT LOSING ONE HEAT ON HIS WAY TO THE TITLE
THOMAS NARROWLY EDGED OUT 09 WINNER PAUL WARD WHO CAME IN 2ND, AND CLOSE AS WELL WAS ANOTHER BURLEIGH BOY JAMES LEWIS 3RD, DEVEX GRABBING 4TH, NORTH END LADS DAMIEN HEALY AND CHRIS ‘IBIS’ BENNETTS FILLING IN 5TH & 6TH PLACE RESPECTIVELY.
THE SURF WAS GREAT FOR THE FINALS DAY, 3 FOOT BURLEIGH, SO RIPPABLE AND THE CREW WENT TO TOWN AND A CROWD OF AROUND A MILLION CHECKED IT ALL OUT. AWESOME WEEKEND, THANKS TO ALL THE CREW, EDWARD (DOING THE BEST AS ALWAYS), THE BBQ CREW OF CRAIG, MICK, JD, BILL, GLENDA, DONNA, KIM, CLYDE, AND PAULINE, THE TENT CREW OF CROWEY, PADGO, ANDREA, BRIAN AND YASU, AND OF COURSE CONEY ON THE MICROPHONE WITH YOURS TRULY.
WELL DONE TO ONE AND ALL WHO WERE INVOLVED AND HELPED OUT.
ON ANOTHER TANGENT IT HAS BEEN A BIG COUPLE OF MONTHS FOR THOMAS WOODS, CLUB CHAMPION, AND WINNER OF THE HONOLUA SINGLE FIN CLASSIC. BURLEIGH BOARDRIDERS ARE HELPING THOMAS OUT AS WELL WITH FUNDS RAISED OVER THE LONG WEEKEND SENDING THOMAS TO THE WORLD TITLES LATER THIS MONTH IN NEW ZEALAND..
