Surfs up, for all teams are in training for the Rumble at Ransom Beach Kingscliff.
Ransom Beach is located 100 metres north of Cudgen Surf Club.
Local derby’s are the order of the weekend. Local derby’s create serious intensity and passion, getting one over your neighbor is always good fun.
The Gold Coast and Tweed Coast boardriding clubs will be fielding their best 16 & under surfers in a team v team, surfer v surfer, mate on mate situation, an experience that will encourage camaraderie and teamwork.
Features include, one surfer allowed double points for one of his/her respective rides (double whammy), first to feet has right of wave, match referee (interference calls), penalty box (sin bin), coaches during game time can introduce surfers off the bench, tagging, crowd participation and plenty of ya/boo.
A best & fairest award sponsored by Fox Surf. Points awarded after each match, a 3,2,1 system, progressive points table throughout the competition, surfer with highest points at the end of competition wins.
Anz Kingscliff are sponsoring the encouragement award of a $100 bank account.
The famous Cheyne Horan Surf School located at Surfers Paradise beach, is donating a surf coaching session for the best “doublewhammy” of the event, by the man himself.
The anticipation of a solid metre plus surf, the teams that execute discipline and practice strong teamwork can look forward to successful campaigns.
