REPORT FROM OUR EL PRESIDENTE’ EDWARD…….
The Golf Day was a success with about 20 of the Burleigh crew turning up, the format for the day 4 person ambrose.
The battle for the title came down to a draw between Craig Whillans team and Peter Hylands team, both carding 34.
- The closet to pin went to ‘the champ’ Ash Humps on the first hole, Ash getting with-in half a meter of the flag. Still haven’t heard the end of it
- The longest drive to Mick mills, (this then resulted in Ronnie nicking off with Millsy’s shell marked ball).
- Longest put John Denison third hole
- Loudest Claim and chainsaw action to go with it – John Denison after his 15 m off the green put.
- Most balls lost – Murray Ward 11 balls lost.
- Most confusing golf stance – Craig Whillans (under watchful coach Mick Mills)
- Most delighted at his Golf talent – Glen Slaughter ( The Flange),
- Best Sport – Yasu, (putting up with all the boys shananigans)
- Best Grom – Josh Hylander
- Best ball pilferer- Ron Williams,
- Best bad Sport – Ronnie and Lumbo (DISQUALIFIED) for moving the flags from the green off the green by two meters and putting in the ground and leaving potential hole in one achievers without a chance.
- Best Bus driver to ‘Gordo’ from Koala coach’s. Champion!
