Sunday the 24th of june saw the 5th round of the club championship being held at Sharkies at the Cove. Once again another club round held at the point! Great surfing and heaps of spectators on hand to watch the action. Our own WCT surfer, Jay “Bottle” Thompson was down for the contest before heading South Africa for the Mr Price pro and the Billabong Pro at J-Bay. Could be a good one for Botts, they have to rename it Jay Bottle Bay!

Botts was ripping, Fabs did his stuff well, though he reckons that James lewis banana waxed his board before the final, and Dvex was once again in the zone and surfed well. The waves were great for the final and more than 50 spectators watched the final from the cove.
