Got a few emails and facebooks from some of the lads working up in Padang after the big shake last week saying despite all the destruction business is as usual with the charters and camps.A few offices in town were destroyed and some of the land camps suffered minor damage,but the boats and transfer services were all working the next day.I’ve been through a few minor rumbles over the years,nothing compared to last weeks destruction,but the Indonesians are a pretty resiliant bunch and will no doubt be getting things back to normal as soon as possible.
The season is pretty much over for eastern indo now,heaps of rain and onshores for the dry season spots in the last couple of weeks means that all the wet season waves are happening.Gazza Waterson did a quick hit over the school holidays and scored some fun waves,hanginig out with Tai “Buddah” Graham,but it’s Burleigh-time hopefully we’ll get some decent banks over the next couple of months!chow Stench
